EDUCATION SYSTEM: INVESTING IN TECH HUBS AS A WAY OF IMPROVING EDUCATION IN NIGERIA.

EDUCATION SYSTEM: INVESTING IN TECH HUBS AS A WAY OF IMPROVING EDUCATION IN NIGERIA.

One of the major ways of improving education in Nigeria, in today's digital age is for Government to start investing in tech hubs(E-learning) as independent parts of Education system. Instead of a conventional primary and secondary school, kids can go to a tech hub that combines basic subjects like English and mathematics.

It is something similar to sports academies in developed countries. In the case of sports, kids enrol from the onset to specialise in developing specific sporting skills.
But in the process, they must learn language skills, maybe some problem solving skills etc
If we do the same using tech hubs, we are bound to cover some of the gaps between us and countries that have prioritized these forms of Education.
Just like the situation the world is facing to concerning COVID-19, E-learning is the best alternative option for Education system. Most country are doing E-learning already in other for their system to remain standard. Providing good and standard internet for their students.

Thankfully some state governments like Edo State have taken a step in the right direction with regard to this.
In his first term of office, he used the Edo tech hub as a way of training young people in Edo state in acquiring valuable IT skills.
In partnership with top technology corporations like Oracle, HP, etc, over 22,000 young people have been trained.

This initiative is meant to morph into a full-fledge branch of the Edo state educational system, where they'd be young people who are specialized in learning IT skills. In a country like Nigeria, this is quite innovative and promising for the future

In the last few days, I've been covering the merits of the Obaseki re-election bid and this is just one of it.
If you care about diversifying our Education system in order to adapt to a fast-changing world, Obaseki is your sure bet.
