285 Minutes Goalless for Manchester United this season as they begin to loss form

Former Chelsea midfield Nemanja Matic is looking for Man United to start taking some risks in their current bid to end a barren run in front of goal that has now extended to 285 mins.

Complete three full matches have come and gone since the Manchester United recorded a goal to their name, with nobody in Solskjaer’s team troubling the scorers since Fernandes scored 75th-minute penalty at Newcastle on Feb 21.

Blanks have been drawn against Real Sociedad, Chelsea and Crystal Palace. The Scotland international told Man United’s official web following the stalemate at Selhurst Park: “It is difficult to explain, but I think that we've to do something much better in these sorts of matches, especially to create more chances, get more shot on target, to risk more around opponents box. “Crystal Palace were very solid at the back.

Another victory for Thomas Tuchel and his team (1-0) against Liverpool

And Their midfield dropped in a bit so it was very hard to get through them.

We've to give credit to them for their performance, but we know what we've to do. We need to do something New in our attacking. We know these are matches we have to win.”

The next game for Man United to bounce back on the goal trail will see them take on arch-rivals Man City.

Ole’s team are due at Etihad Stadium on march 7 for a contest that presents them with an opportunity to end Manchester Citys' 21-match winning run in all competitions this season.

Manchester United have their own 21-match sequence to preserve, having gone that many games unbeaten away from home, and have picked up nine clean sheets on their travels this season in all competitions. Nemanja Matic said: “I think we defended well as a team, all the first squad.

We need to take some positive changes; we don't concede a goal, we got a point. However, is not good enough we have to fight for our top four finish.

There're periods where you score lots of goals, and you've some periods where you concede many goals, but you need to break that barrier in the next match.

Everybody knows Manchester City is a great team with a great players and they're in form but we've to fight what we need.
