  Kalidou Koulibaly has been handed a match ban and will miss team's Serie A match against Sassuolo on Wed march 3.

   The centre-back picked up 2 yellow cards in the Parthenopeans’ 2-0 victory against Benevento on Sunday’s game and was therefore sent off the pitch.

   The 29-year-old has now been suspended and will not be part of their next match on Wednesday which might be difficult for Napoli to go on pitch without him.

  The koulibaly has been sent off 7 times in his football career, he received his first red card in 2011 during his time with Metz against Clermont.

  The Senegal international man also was given a red card during Napoli’s match against Sampdoria in 2014, and against Fiorentina in 2018.

   Kalidou koulibaly was sent off twice in 2019 and was showed a red card when his national team faced Burkina Faso in 2017 during the 2018 World Cup qualifiers.

   He was also suspended for Senegal’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (ACN) final against Algeria, which make them to find themselves behind in the match which could have led them to finish second at the continental tournament.

   The centre-back remains one of the longest-serving players for Napoli, he has been with them since 2014 from Genk.

  He has since them been a consistent performer for Napoli has a centre-back, having featured in more than 200 matches across all competitions.
